This mug has the Uffington chalk horse as a white stoneware inlay - a homage to the ancient chalk figure found in south central England. The original figure is over 110 meters long, likely over 3000 years old and has been maintained through the years by the local community - there's much speculation over what the intentions of the original creators were, but to me it is a powerful symbol of the power of community helping one to endure through change of all sorts - as the years flow by the horse endures, “not what a horse looks like, but what a horse be”
