The design on this mug was inspired by the volunteer squash vine that grew around the door to our studio in West Virginia. It’s an echo of the designs found in the margins of medieval Celtic manuscripts and the flowing foliage and curves of earlier La Tene art. Which is a lot to put on a simple mug. It’s also just round and comfortable, safe for the dishwasher and microwave. The glazes are non toxic and it is intended for daily use. I hope it will become your new favorite mug
